Hi, I'm Archisman.

I'm a Coder, Entrepreneur and Product Manager. I like building things. I love solving problems. I strive to understand the Whys.

I spend a lot of time reading and sometimes writing (a bit). This website started as an exercise to improve my badly handicapped html/css skills. It does not have any fancy bootstrap theme or javascript library. Its all plain vanilla hand coding, almost.

The Zen Master and the Little Boy

In the year 2011, on a flight back from Panama to India I watched a movie called Charlie Wilson's War. Tom Hanks is a brilliant actor and the movie in itself was reasonably well made. However, the thing that stood out most for me, something that I found very deep and profound was The Zen Master Story narrated by Philip Seymour Hoffman to Tom Hanks in a scene. Here it goes

A boy is given a horse on his 14th birthday. Everyone in the village says, “Oh how wonderful.” But a Zen master who lives in the village says, “We'll see.” The boy falls off the horse and breaks his foot. Everyone in the village says, “Oh how awful.” The Zen master says, “We'll see.” The village is thrown into war and all the young men have to go to war. But, because of the broken foot, the boy stays behind. Everyone says, “Oh, how wonderful.” The Zen master says, “We'll see”.
